RS Member of Parliament C Ramachandraiah of TDP joins Praja Rajyam

Hyderabad, September 13, 2008.

Chiranjeevi himself welcomed C Ramachandraiah RS MP and a prominent Backward leader from Kadapa into Praja Rajyam.  The TDP MP was amongs the first to show his intentions to join the party but to placate TDP his formal joining was delayed.

G Haribabu Naidu, MLC
Bunga Sarathi, former DCC president, West Godavari.

Kadapa Advocate Agrees to Withdraw his application for "PrajaRajyam" Party -chiru

Hyderabad. Aug 29, 2008.

• A huge relief for the Chiranjeevi camp when Chiranjeevi supporters managed to convince Kadapa  advocated Mr Chenna Krishnaiah to withdraw his application to Election Commision of the "PrajaRajyam" party name.
• He in turn bargained for a key post in the new party.
• Mr Krishnaiah actually from Lakkireddypalli town of Kadapa distric had expressed his desire to contest all assembly and Lok Sabha elections from Kadapa.
• He is said to have applied for the same name on June'14th, but the application was still pending.
• Dr P Vinay Kumar representing Chiranjeevi at New Delhi office of the election commision said: "Legally our position was strong because we had filed all the legal and supporting documents for the registration of the party while the other side had applied on a plain paper without any documents. But not taking any chances we talked to him and persuaded him to withdraw,". 
  
• The above is in reference to lots of errors in the filing of Mr Krishn including only 88 valid signatures as against the required 100.
  

C Ramachandraiah - Kadapa RS MP , Ex-MLA Ramana Reddy Quit TD for Chiru

Kadapa.  July 18, 2008

• In another major jolt to the TDP and its president a prominent backward class politician Mr C Ramachandraih MP from Kadapa has left TDP reportedbly to join Ciranjeevi's party.
• Ex-MLA Ramana Reddy  too Quit.
• They both took out separate rallies and made allegations against Mr Naidu's style of functioning.
• Telugu Rythu general secretary, Mr Yeddula Subbarayudu, is also likely to follow suit.  ZPTC member Ramesh Babu has already pledged his allegiancet to Mr C Ramachandraiah.

Other Developments:
KADAPA-NELLORE ACA South Zone u-22 inter-district match ended in a draw at Anantapur on Wednesday. Kadapa secured 3 points for the same.   Earler G. Basha (177, 30x4, 3x6)helped Kadapa post a 392 in 72.4 overs.
